This is how a safari lodge should be when looking for comfort. Every little thing was well thought out and our wonderful hosts were more than welcoming. The pool area was a lovely place for everyone to gather before dinner and then afterwards the boma area with an open fire-pit was the perfect way to end the evening. I was more than a little sad when we had to leave.

Charlie, Misch & Ziggy were such welcoming hosts. The rooms were spacious with beautiful furnishings and incredible views. There was an overwhelming feeling of calm. The meals were scrumptious and presented beautifully on a huge table on a covered verandah adjoining the kitchen. It was a magical way to start my birthday at the Makuwa Safari Lodge. When we arrived back at the lodge in the late afternoon it was like coming back to a little piece of paradise. Can't wipe the smile off my face :)
